Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali has over 30 years of consolidated experience in the field of medium and large power DC converters used primarily for DC Arc Furnaces as well as the Zinc and Titanium markets. For these applications our SilcoMax Large, a rectifier system for very high currents (up to 120kA in a two-bridge parallel configuration) is widely used and has a strong reputation for its reliabilty. The knowhow and experience of the SilcoMAX Large system was the backbone in the development of Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali transformer-rectifier systems for the electrochemical industry, where high current DC power rectifiers that guarantee a high level of reliability, efficiency and redundancy are required.
With its own in-house rectifier technology Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali has designed a specially tailored product to meet the electrochemical industry's requirements: SilcoMax Light.
SilcoMax Light is a three phase bridge AC/DC rectifier resulting in a 6 pulse reaction.
