Silcostat: the static excitation system for synchronous machines

The Silcostat is an AC/DC thyristor power converter that supplies excitation current to the machine windings. Our Static excitation system is the ideal solution for synchronous machines.The complete system includes the regulation elements, field discharge (crow bar) and protection devices.

The Silcostat is available with different cooling methods such as natural air (up to 200A), forced air (up to 3500A ) and forced water with water/water-air exchanger (up to 6000A).
